“Why are we out here? Couldn’t we have found this stuff in the village?” Juna asked, frowning. Bandit gave her a huge, arrogant smirk before turning back to face the path ahead of them.

“We could have, but we’re not.” He smiled. A wolf walked between the two, holding a basket in it’s mouth.

“Would you two hush for just one second?” The wolf named Gray sighed, shaking his head from side to side as they walked. He couldn’t believe he’d gotten stuck out here with these two.

“In all honesty..” Bandit slowed down his pace. “..I wanted to show you two something.”

“Show us something?” The both said in unison, Juna gasped in fear while Gray’s ears perked up and he gasped excitedly.

Bandit bounded along the path, excited to show his two friends something, or should he say, someone he’d discovered. Juna and Gray were starting to pick up on the scent of another tokota or two.

“Bandit…” Juna stopped dead in her tracks. “I smell others.”

“Don’t worry love, wild tokotas live around here. They won’t harm us.” He picked up the pace, forcing the other two to pick up the pace as well. Bandit was extremely excited; he wanted to surprise Gray and shock Juna. Afterall, he was born to please.

The three of them walked together towards the new territory. Juna wanted to turn back, but the burn of her instincts pulled her towards the unknown. She definitely prefered to be back at home curled up next to the fire, but she could get used to this whole “burning” thing too.

“Not you again..” An older voice broke through the silence between the three tokotas. Bandit looked down to see exactly what he was looking for.

It was the old brown vitiligo toki from before. Bandit had stumbled across him a couple days before when hunting. He mistook him for a small bear cub at first.

“Old man! You’re still alive!” Bandit chuckled. Juna stepped away from the small toki while Gray walked closer to him.

“Of course I’m still alive!” the old tokota snapped at him, snarling and taking a step forward towards the tokota that was almost two times his height.

“Easy there little fella.” Bandit teased the toki. Anger appeared to be boiling up inside the small fellow. Gray stepped in between the two.

“Enough Bandit, teasing him about his height is not very nice.” Gray frowned at the tokota who was taller than him. Bandit couldn’t hold back his giggles.

“Says the one who’s shorter than me.” The toki snapped at Gray and began to walk away. “All three of you, scram!”

“Hold on now.” Bandit stepped in front of the toki. “I brought my friends here to see you for a reason.”

“Why, so they can all join in on teasing me? Trust me young one, I’ve been teased all my life, it doesn’t phase me any longer.” The toki walked right past Bandit.

“For someone who ‘isn’t phased any longer’, you were pretty pissed at me for teasing you less than a minute ago.”

“Get out of my way!” The toki snarled, snapping at Bandit’s leg. Bandit quickly jumped out of the way of the toki and pouted as he walked away. Juna stepped closer to Bandit and together they watched the two tokotas go. Gray was persistent with the toki though. He followed him.

“Get out of here! Go!” The toki exclaimed. Suddenly, two tokotas came from around the rocks. One was a sphinx and the other was a pink tokota. Gray was a bit taken off guard by the two, but he stood his ground.

“Please sir, I’d like to speak with you for just a brief moment.” Gray pleaded with the toki.

“I think that is enough.” Balan, the sphinx, stepped forward. The pink tokota’s tongue lolled out of his mouth as he stood there quietly.

“Sir? I haven’t heard that in a while.” The toki stopped, turning around to face Gray. “What is you want with me?”

Gray looked from the toki to the sphinx to the pink tokota. Was he even actually conscious anymore? Surely this was a dream?

“I’d just like to speak with you.” Gray’s voice was calm and collected now. “I’d like to speak with you about the disappearance of someone.”

“Disappearance?” The pink tokota asked. Gray nodded. Bandit and Juna stepped forward.

“Our friend, Soullamene, disappeared a few days ago without telling anyone about her whereabouts. She goes by Soul and we’re trying to find her.” Gray breathed. The tokos looked at each other, then looked back at Gray.

“I’ve seen a tokota up on the mountain recently.” Balan answered. I didn’t think much of it at first but now that I think about, they weren’t with a human or anything. They were alone, walking up the mountain. I believe it was a female and she did not seem wild.

“I guess I did see a merle female walking around here a few days back.” The brown toki frowned. “She was indeed alone.”

“I saw her too!” The pink tokota jumped in, wagging his tail and smiling, though it seemed he had no idea what the three of them were talking about.

“It is extremely important that we find her. She is my best friend.” Bandit said sternly, looking at the three tokotas. His tone had completely changed and the toki was rather surprised.

“Oh, so the extremely rude halfmane has feelings for this tokota? Forget it, you’ll have to find her yourselves. I’m off to take a nap.” He snarled, turning away and walking towards the big mountain that was behind him. Gray stepped forward to go after him but Balan stepped in the way.

“If Jimmy doesn’t want to talk to you any longer, he doesn’t have to.” Balan frowned. “I will provide you with the information you need.”

But it was too late. Bandit had rushed past the two and knocked over the toki, pinning him to the ground. Bandit was really good at changing his demeanor on sight. One moment he’d be all flirtatious and playful, then he’d be stern, and now he was filled with rage.

“Tell me where the hell my friend is!” He roared at the toki. Jimmy’s eyes were wide, but not with fear. He almost looked disgusted that Bandit was on top of him, pinning him to the ground.

“Get off me, you childish twirp!” He snarled at the tokota. Gray and Balan bounded over to Bandit and Jimmy. It took both Juna and Balan to get Bandit off of the toki. Once he was unpinned, Jimmy jumped up and brushed himself off.

“Psychotic fool!” He called to Bandit as he began to walk back in the direction he had been going in, only this time he picked up the pace.

“Get off me Gray! He knows what happened to Soul! We need to stop him!” Bandit fought against the two tokotas. The pink tokota named Pinky joined the struggle by helping Juna and Balan hold him down.

“Calm down Bandit, you’re only making this worse for everyone. We want to help Soul as much as you do, but you need to keep your temper in check.” Gray tried to explain to the struggling tokota.

“I respect your want to find you friend, but you need to let Old man Jimmy go, he’s not going to give you any information at this point. He holds grudges and you knocked him over and pinned him to the ground.”

“I don’t give a damn! He wasn’t being helpful at all!” Bandit screeched, slowly beginning to stop struggling. Juna took in a sharp breath, tears coming to her eyes as she watched Bandit unravel in front of her. Gray stepped away.

“I need to speak with Old man Jimmy, information he has is probably crucial to us finding our friend. Hopefully Bandit hasn’t ruined our chances at getting him to talk.” Gray turned away from them and began to go after Jimmy, hoping he’d change his mind about talking to him and giving them the information they needed.
And we have another taming attempt. I can't resist it okay!
